Some friends and I are trying to make a movie. If you own or know someone who owns any of the following, you can have a supporting part in the movie. You probably have to live in Houston for this.

• Camcorder (yes, I know we’re shit out of luck if we don’t get one of these)
• Sound equipment that we can borrow. Doesn’t need to be pro, but usable. If you happen to be one of the few people who just have a recording mic in their house, this is you!
• A girl who has an on-screen presence, you don’t have to be single but there will be a “date” scene. Absolutely no kissing or dirty stuff. Also, the movie will be a large time commitment.
• A car that can fit four or five people and drive to Hobby airport.

My camera ran out of battery from just sitting there for months. The one with commentary is from Henry’s camera, the last two were from mine when I got just enough battery to shoot a couple minutes of footage. Enjoy!

So I got this nifty little phone. Suggested retail is $399. Our old phone plan expired so it was time for new phones. Yay. My brother and I each got one, and thanks to the rebates and promotions, it only cost an extra $100 total. Pretty damn good deal.

I don’t have the data plan, but I hope that will change sometime in April. But I do have unlimited messaging, and this thing is a beast for it. The touch screen makes typing even easier and faster. The thing I like most about it is that it can type vertically as if a regular number pad or turn it sideways for a full size keyboard. Using a full keyboard is a lot easier to type. On the other hand, I’m pretty fast with one thumb on numpad while driving.

I think the only downside to this phone is that it doesn’t have wifi. And once again I don’t have the data plan. It’s not an iPhone killer, it’s just a phone with a really nice touch screen. I mean, it can do all the usual smartphone stuff, email, instant messaging, Bluetooth, MP3 player, and a 5mp camera. The camera is pretty nice. It has some basic aperture control, but surprisingly, it actually has an ISO setting that the user can control. If that was all gibberish to you, I suggest you read this guide here.

As you can see, the picture is still noisy as hell, but that’s pretty impressive for a camera on a phone.

This semester is almost over. It’s gone by pretty quick, considering I’ve been here all summer. It’ll be good to be home for longer than a weekend. But I’m looking too far ahead. I’ve still got three finals, and five classes to pass. Especially calculus, I have a test in an hour.
