My Life Would Be Easy

If we could party all night and sleep all day.

Not much more I can say. This song is just really catchy. Wouldn’t be surprised if this isn’t a new radio single sometime soon.

Keyboard

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009

I took piano lessons for a couple weeks when I was in kindergarten. I still remember the room at the old Chinese Community Center. My parents had bought me a Yamaha keyboard. It was fourteen years ago, but I still remember wheeling it out of Best Buy. Pretty sure we got it at Best Buy. Or was it Circuit City…

Either way, it’s been in storage collecting dust this whole time. I took it ouf the garage back in April of last year, but I didn’t have a chance to really play with it because of school and all that. Oh, and the fact that I don’t remember anything from those lessons. I know how to read music, but only from playing the flute in middle school band. Piano is on a different octave. I’ve got a beginner’s learning book, and I’m slowly practicing my way through it. I’m not looking to be awesomely awesome like some of my friends, who have won awards and actual cash moneys, but I just want  to learn for my own experience. I can almost play Friar Jacques! Hopefully I’ll keep up the practicing.

I’ve heard a lot of remixes of T.I.’s “Whatever You Like,” but this one actually sounds correct. The original is already a really good song, I think this remix is a good compliment.

Summer

Never having to do anything is great. I’ve got not obligations, no responsibilities. Catching up with old friends is a good deal too. But somehow I want the rest of my life to arrive. That’s the secret to life: you can’t hurry it.

Okay so I’m not a big basketball fan. But I’ve just gotta mention this. Anything to do with a sports team from my hometown is worth mentioning. Congratulations to the Los Angeles Lakers on winning their championship this year. However, I’d like to point out that this makes the Houston Rockets the second best team in the NBA. Keeping my fingers crossed for a healthy 2009-2010 season. And seriously, let’s trade Tracy for Dwyane Wade or something. Even Lebron.

I used to be all hyped up about MGMT and stuff, but that was before they made it onto every 13 year old girl’s iPod. This is a good track, however. I had to personally message them on Myspace to get the link. It’s funky and smooth, and got good replay value.

There were reports on the interwebs that when asked, Santigold said she doesn’t even listen to R&B. In any event, here is a track featuring Young Jeezy.
